Job Objectives:
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for providing high standards of pharmaceutical care, ensuring accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and offering professional advice in line with Clicks’ operational standards, good pharmacy practice, and the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) regulations.
Key responsibilities include managing the dispensary’s operational activities such as stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration, all while adhering to SAPC guidelines and company standards. The Pharmacy Manager will ensure the financial viability of the dispensary by focusing on core dispensary and clinic targets, managing expenses, and taking proactive actions as necessary.
This role also requires overseeing staff, including learners and interns, ensuring effective selection, leadership, and development to build capacity for meeting current and future business needs. The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for creating an optimal staffing plan in line with the company’s labour policy, ensuring complete time and attendance records, and promoting an excellent customer service experience to drive loyalty and achieve club card participation targets.
Additionally, the Pharmacy Manager will foster integration with the clinic and healthcare aisles, ensuring a comprehensive healthcare offering for customers. The role also involves driving a high-performing business culture focused on employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
