About the Role
The Pharmacy Manager leads the dispensary and clinic to ensure efficient operations and service excellence. This role directs the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care while achieving sales, compliance, and operational targets that strengthen the brand’s competitive position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Objectives:
- Deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care, including accurate and safe dispensing, generic substitution, and professional advice in line with Clicks’ standards, Good Pharmacy Practice, and SAPC regulations.
- Manage all operational activities within the dispensary, including stock management, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping, and administration in line with company and SAPC requirements.
- Ensure operational viability of the dispensary through effective financial management, monitoring core dispensary and clinic targets, controlling expenses, and taking proactive actions where needed.
- Build and maintain a competent and motivated team, including learners and interns, through effective recruitment, leadership, coaching, and continuous development to meet current and future business needs.
- Plan and schedule staff in line with labour policies and models to ensure full departmental coverage, including accurate timekeeping and HR record submissions.
- Implement customer service initiatives that enhance the dispensary experience, build loyalty, and achieve clubcard participation targets.
- Foster integration and collaboration with the clinic and healthcare aisle to provide a comprehensive healthcare offering to customers.
- Support the Group’s vision by living and promoting company values to position Clicks as the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
- Promote cohesion, consistency, and collaboration between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- Drive a high-performance culture that delivers employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
