Job Purpose:
The primary goal of this position is to oversee the efficient operation of both the dispensary and the clinic, ensuring service excellence by leading the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of pharmaceutical care. This will help meet sales and compliance targets, creating a competitive edge for the brand.
Job Objectives:

Ensure the delivery of high standards of pharmaceutical care, accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and providing professional advice, all in line with Clicks’ procedures, good pharmacy practices, and the legal scope set by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).

Manage and control all operational activities within the dispensary, including safe and responsible stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping, and administration, while ensuring compliance with SAPC regulations and company standards.

Focus on the financial management of the dispensary to maintain operational viability, manage expenses, and meet core dispensary and clinic targets, taking proactive action where necessary.

Develop and manage a competent and motivated team, including learners and interns, through effective selection, leadership, and continuous development to meet current and future business needs.

Schedule staff appropriately in line with labor policies to ensure each department is adequately staffed, while maintaining accurate records of time and attendance for submission to HR.

Manage customer service initiatives that drive customer satisfaction, build loyalty, and contribute to achieving club card participation targets.

Promote integration and collaboration between the dispensary, clinic, and healthcare aisle, ensuring a comprehensive offering of services to meet customer healthcare needs.

Support Clicks’ vision of being the first choice for health and beauty retail by embodying and promoting company values.

Foster cohesion, consistency, and integration across the store, pharmacy, and clinic teams, creating a high-performing business culture that maximizes employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Education and Experience Requirements:

Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC.

Essential: Minimum of 2 years’ experience post community service year.

Essential: Minimum of 1 year of people management experience.

Essential: Registration with SAPC as the Responsible Pharmacist.

Desirable: Retail pharmacy experience.

Desirable: Experience with Unisolv.
