Job Objectives:

The Pharmacist at Clicks Pepper-grove will be responsible for delivering high standards of pharmaceutical care, ensuring accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and providing advice in alignment with Clicks’ standards, good pharmacy practice, and the legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).

This role involves managing all operational activities within the dispensary, including safe stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administrative duties, in compliance with SAPC regulations and company policies. The Pharmacist will also be focused on maintaining the operational viability of the dispensary by meeting core dispensary and clinic targets.

In addition to these operational duties, the Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing the training and development of Pharmacist Assistants and Pharmacist Interns to ensure they meet SAPC requirements and contribute to building a motivated and competent team.

The role also includes implementing customer service initiatives within the dispensary, ensuring a positive customer experience, driving customer loyalty, and achieving club card participation targets. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders such as centre managers, suppliers, and distribution centers will be essential to achieve business objectives and maximize opportunities.

The Pharmacist will also be expected to collaborate with the clinic and healthcare aisle to provide a comprehensive range of healthcare services to customers, fully supporting Clicks’ vision to be the first choice health and beauty retailer while embodying the company’s values.
