Job Objectives:

  • Provide high standards of pharmaceutical care by ensuring accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitution, and offering advice in line with Clicks’ way of working, good pharmacy practice, and the legal scope outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).

  • Efficiently manage all operational activities in the dispensary, including safe stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration, ensuring compliance with SAPC regulations and company standards.

  • Focus on core dispensary and clinic targets to ensure the operational viability of the dispensary.

  • Oversee the training and development of Pharmacist Assistants and Pharmacist Interns in line with SAPC requirements to ensure a competent and motivated team.

  • Implement customer service initiatives within the dispensary to provide excellent customer experiences, drive customer loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, including centre managers, suppliers, and DCs, to ensure business objectives are met and opportunities are maximized.

  • Ensure seamless integration and partnership with the clinic and healthcare aisle to offer a comprehensive healthcare solution for customers.

  • Support the company’s vision to be the customer’s first choice in health and beauty by upholding and promoting the company values.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC.

  • Desirable: Experience in retail pharmacy.

  • Desirable: Experience with Unisolve.

Job Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of SAPC regulations and legal practices.

  • Ethical working practices and compliance knowledge.

  • Proficient in stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures.

  • Expertise in patient care and professional counselling.

  • Knowledge of customer service excellence.

  • Tutorship and coaching skills for team development.

  • Results-driven with strong planning and organizing skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer orientation.

  • Good interpersonal skills, especially in customer service and patient care.

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in financial management.
