Job Objectives:
The Pharmacist will deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care by ensuring accurate and safe dispensing, including generic substitutions, while adhering to Clicks’ working practices and the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) legal scope of practice.

  • Efficiently manage all operational activities within the dispensary, ensuring responsible stock management, shrinkage control, and adherence to housekeeping and administrative standards in line with SAPC regulations and company requirements.

  • Focus on the operational viability of the dispensary by meeting core targets related to the dispensary and clinic.

  • Oversee the training and development of Pharmacist Assistants and Pharmacist Interns, ensuring compliance with SAPC standards.

  • Implement customer service initiatives that ensure an outstanding customer experience, foster customer loyalty, and contribute to achieving club card participation targets.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including centre managers, suppliers, and distribution centers, to ensure that business objectives are achieved and opportunities are maximized.

  • Promote integration and collaboration with the clinic and healthcare aisle to provide a comprehensive offering for customers’ healthcare needs.

  • Support Clicks’ vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by upholding and promoting company values.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

    • Essential: Registered Pharmacist with SAPC

    • Desirable: Retail Pharmacy experience

    • Desirable: Unisolve experience

Job Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAPC regulations and relevant legal practices

  • Ethical working practices and compliance

  • Knowledge of stock management, cost control, risk management, and compliance procedures

  • Expertise in patient care, professional counseling, and providing accurate advice

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on excellent patient care

  • Tutorship and coaching abilities for staff development
