About the Role

The Pharmacist Assistant QPB provides pharmaceutical care services within scope of practice and performs daily dispensary administration in line with company Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring safe, accurate, and customer-focused service delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Objectives:

• Deliver consistently high standards of customer service and patient care.
• Maintain efficient stock control and administration, including repacking of medicines in line with procedures.
• Ensure smooth and compliant dispensary administration.
• Perform accurate compounding within scope of practice.
• Provide general health advice to customers in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and merchandise presentation within the dispensary.
• Complete ad hoc duties in line with operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric with Mathematics (essential).
• Meet the minimum regulatory requirements for Pharmacist Assistant levels (Qualified, Post-Basic, or Learner Basic) as prescribed by the South African Pharmacy Council.

Skills, Abilities & Job-Related Knowledge

• Strong product knowledge, including Health Isle and OTC products
• Sound SAPC and relevant legal knowledge
• Customer service orientation
• Team player with high integrity
• Ethical working practice and compliance
• High accuracy with strong attention to detail
• Basic calculation skills
• Proficiency in IT business operating systems
• Competence in MS Office
