Shoprite is looking for a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) to support pharmacy operations through stock management, dispensing, and customer service while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with stock control, ensuring accurate inventory management and availability of pharmaceutical products.
• Dispense medication under the supervision of a pharmacist, following legal and ethical guidelines.
• Perform administrative duties, including prescription handling, record-keeping, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold housekeeping standards.
• Provide front-shop customer service by assisting with inquiries and enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant.

Experience

• At least two years of experience in a similar role.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of dispensing processes and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Familiarity with dispensing and ordering systems.
• Experience in a retail or FMCG environment (desirable).
