SAB Vacancies – Packaging Team Leader

SAB is seeking a Packaging Team Leader to lead shift-based teams in executing the production plan according to performance criteria. The Packaging Team Leader is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, optimizing production performance, and fostering effective team dynamics.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure Safety and Health
    • Comply with safety, health, and environmental procedures and legislation.
    • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Optimize Production Processes
    • Manage shifts using VPO (Value Performance Organization) tools and principles.
    • Achieve the production plan within allowed costs, coordinating scheduled maintenance and autonomous operations.
    • Monitor production processes to ensure they are within budget.
    • Interpret and implement the production plan for the shift.
  • Team Leadership
    • Facilitate effective team dynamics and communication within the workplace.
    • Implement performance management and OPR (Operational Performance Reviews) processes.
    • Develop employees and ensure a healthy industrial relations climate.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Ensure application of administrative systems and procedures.
    • Administer conditions of employment for team members.
    • Contribute to self and team development.
    • Manage financial performance, including budget preparation and monthly financial Short Interval Control.
  • Human Resources Management
    • Apply people policies and practices to ensure compliance and employee satisfaction.
    • Build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.

Profile Requirements

  • National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Instrumental Engineering.
  • Completion of an AB InBev Packaging Traineeship is preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of factory production experience, with a focus on shift production.
  • A proven track record of high performance, demonstrating a disciplined work ethic and a passion for problem-solving.
