Anova Vacancies – Outreach Team Leader: Enrolled Nurse

Anova Health Institute NPC is a leading NGO focused on empowering communities and improving lives through innovative healthcare solutions. Our mission is to deliver quality health services to those who need them most. We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Outreach Team Leader (Enrolled Nurse) to lead a team of Home-Based Carers and oversee various community health programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement weekly work plans for Community Healthcare Workers (CHWs), including home visits, household assessments, and community outreach events.
  • Manage and supervise the CHWs in your designated area.
  • Coordinate with DoH facility management and local community leaders to support Community-Oriented Primary Care. This includes attending community meetings and multi-disciplinary sessions.
  • Actively participate in wellness and prevention interventions such as vaccine administration, non-communicable disease screening, and family planning.
  • Plan and conduct mentorship and coaching sessions for CHWs on Integrated Health and Wellness Service packages.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper data management in compliance with POPIA.
  • Oversee CHW timesheets, leave requests, office expenses, and other administrative tasks.
  • Travel to various outreach venues and DoH facilities in the Cape Metropole District as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Nursing qualification (Enrolled Nurse) with SANC registration.
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport are essential.
  • Experience in community health work is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
