Job Description:
As an Oracle Developer, you will be pivotal in implementing Oracle applications to meet the needs of the business user community. Your role involves translating business requirements into technical specifications, developing screens, reports, and interfaces, and supporting the full project lifecycle, from testing to user training and support. You will drive the adoption and usage of Oracle applications, ensuring they align with best practices and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Development Manager: Assist in achieving team objectives and project goals.
- Project Implementation: Develop Oracle applications in line with best practices, minimizing customizations, and maintaining up-to-date software versions. Focus primarily on project build phases, with potential support duties if capacity allows.
- Requirement Analysis: Conduct impact analysis of new or changed user requirements, highlighting necessary changes, non-customization violations, and functionality mapping.
- Development and Testing: Develop, test, and prepare Oracle applications for production, including bug fixes, documentation updates, and disaster recovery testing.
- User Training: Develop training materials and provide training to users. Offer support to business Super Users and on-site support as needed.
- Support and Maintenance: Address bug fixes and change requests (enhancements) within SLAs and quality standards. Provide after-hours support as per schedule.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business processes, technical designs, configuration guides, test cases, user guides, and training materials, following Oracle OUM and AIM methodologies.
- Compliance and Improvement: Identify and address compliance issues with IT strategy, policies, and standards. Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives in IT service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Education: IT Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2-4+ years as an Oracle Developer with in-depth knowledge of Oracle applications, methodologies, and toolsets. Oracle certifications and ITIL experience are advantageous.
- Skills: Detailed-oriented, analytical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
