Job Description:

Buco is seeking a skilled Operator: Edgebander to join our team in Hazyview. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of the edgebander machine, ensuring high-quality output while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain the edgebander machine, including feeding materials, adjusting machine settings, and regulating speed and temperature.
• Edge Trimming & Sanding: Ensure precise edge trimming and sanding to meet product specifications.
• Customer Interaction: Attend to customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
• Housekeeping: Keep the cutting area clean, tidy, and free of hazards.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, reporting any failures or safety concerns.
• Stock Management: Report stock shortages and participate in regular stock-takes.
• General Operator Duties: Perform various operator functions as required to support the production process.

Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of industry experience with specific expertise in operating an edgebander machine.
