Duties & Responsibilities

  • Optimally allocate resources to maximize cleaning output in compliance with SLA requirements.
  • Maintain high service standards through regular site visits and inspections.
  • Ensure new units are operational within three months, adhering to Tsebo policies and standards.
  • Manage unit closures efficiently, finalizing staff, equipment, billing, and costs within the closing month.
  • Retain contracts by upholding service excellence, mitigating cancellation risks, and building strong client relationships.
  • Enforce cleaning methodology in line with company policies, quality programs, and legislation.
  • Conduct monthly asset spot checks, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and serviced.
  • Schedule staff training to improve performance and uphold standards.
  • Maintain unit files and notice boards as per company policies.
  • Update the Business Information File with all scope changes for accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist with chemical, consumable, and payslip deliveries as needed.
  • Hold formal monthly client meetings to align expectations and address needs.
  • Respond promptly to client and management requests with appropriate action.
  • Complete and submit required reports (hygiene consumption, inspections, training, maintenance, surveys).
  • Communicate company updates effectively to Contract managers and staff.
  • Oversee biometric system compliance and labour/turnover ratio monitoring.
  • Enforce company disciplinary code and represent Tsebo in CCMA cases and union meetings.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, identify training needs, and drive succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS Act and site-specific safety regulations.
  • Manage unit budgets for labour, asset maintenance, and consumables.
  • Use only accredited suppliers and approved products.
  • Develop accurate budgets and forecasts within company deadlines.
  • Monitor leave liability and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Identify upsell opportunities and one-off cleaning prospects.
  • Authorize and bill rechargeable/overtime work promptly.
  • Ensure timely debtor collections and follow procurement approval processes.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Cleaning, Hygiene, and Pest Control industry legislation
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar mid-management role
  • Experience managing large teams and client portfolios
