Fidelity Vacancies – Operations Manager (Industry equivalent to Area Manager)
The Operations Manager, reporting to the Area Manager, is responsible for overseeing multiple Operations Managers and ensuring the effective management of security services. This includes client liaison, HR and IR matters, fleet management, expense control, investigations, and ensuring security officers are posted and fulfilling site security requirements as per client needs.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- PSIRA Grade A registered
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transport
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the security industry
- At least 5 years in an operational security management role
- Knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency
- Proven experience in staff management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- No criminal record or pending cases
- Strong planning, administrative, interpersonal, and client liaison skills
- Leadership and organizational skills
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management standards
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong relationships between Fidelity Security Services and clients
- Manage allocated areas to ensure all contractual obligations are met
- Ensure all security officers meet contractual requirements
- Assess service levels and make recommendations for improvements
- Supervise security staff and ensure operational performance standards are met
- Handle administrative tasks related to security operations
- Communicate daily with management regarding operational concerns
- Address HR-related matters promptly, including disciplinary actions
- Ensure timely submission of employment and compliance documentation
- Submit incident and operational reports to management
- Conduct investigations and provide detailed reports
- Implement and uphold ISO 9001:2008 Management System standards
