Job Overview:
Fidelity is seeking a motivated New Business Development Representative to join our Guarding Division in the Western Cape Area. The primary focus of this role is to seek out new business opportunities while maintaining and growing our existing client base by delivering comprehensive risk mitigation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Growth: Drive client growth by proactively increasing turnover through your existing client base and acquiring new clients.
- Sales Targets: Meet revenue targets by achieving planned sales goals, which may vary based on business requirements and management discretion.
- New Business Acquisition: Secure profitable new business through various means, including extensive cold calling and networking.
- Client Engagement: Attend to potential clients in assigned areas, addressing and resolving their queries promptly and satisfactorily.
- Site Surveys: Conduct physical site surveys to assess security requirements.
- Solution Design: Design, cost, and propose integrated security solutions that encompass both commercial offerings and the broader group’s services.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present complex proposals, ensuring timely submission of quotations to clients.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are planned for, budgeted, and coordinated effectively.
- Marketing Support: Assist with marketing-related initiatives for the area.
- Reporting: Compile and submit weekly and monthly management reports detailing progress and insights.
- Market Knowledge: Acquire thorough knowledge of trade and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Contract Management: Ensure all contracts and quotations are completed accurately and include necessary documentation.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies regarding equipment approval and stock management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Sales diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven sales experience with a minimum of 5 years in a similar position, preferably in the security industry.
- PSIRA grading is an advantage.
- Fully bilingual; additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during extended hours if required.
- Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Clear criminal record with no pending cases.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
