Position: New Business Development/Sales: Guarding Division
Fidelity’s New Business Development department is looking for a New Business Development Representative in the Western Cape area. The key purpose of this position is to generate new business opportunities through networking, build and maintain strong client relationships, and grow the existing client base by offering comprehensive risk mitigation solutions.
The incumbent will be responsible for designing, costing, proposing, and presenting complex integrated security solutions to both new and existing clients, representing the full range of offerings from the Commercial division as well as the broader Group offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive client growth by increasing turnover through new and existing clients.
- Achieve revenue targets by meeting sales goals.
- Secure profitable new business opportunities.
- Engage with potential clients across various regions.
- Address and resolve client queries promptly and effectively.
- Conduct site surveys for security requirements.
- Design and cost complete security solutions.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals to clients.
- Submit quotations to clients within set timelines.
- Build and maintain professional client relationships.
- Plan, budget, and coordinate client requirements.
- Assist with marketing-related issues in the region.
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports to management.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of the trade and competitors.
- Ensure contracts and quotations are accurate and complete with all necessary technical addendums.
- Ensure timely submission of paperwork to source non-standard stock items.
- Sell only approved equipment as per company policies.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities, including cold calling and other methods to maximize market growth.
- Attend to client needs, provide site surveys, and prepare proposals.
- Maintain strong client relationships and coordinate client requirements.
- Support marketing initiatives for the area.
Minimum Requirements:
- Sales diploma or equivalent qualifications.
- Proven sales experience with a track record of success.
- At least 5 years of sales experience in a similar role.
- PSIRA grading is an advantage.
- 2-4 years of sales experience in the security industry preferred.
- Bilingual, with additional languages being an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours when required.
- Previous experience in the security industry is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional, well-presented, and customer-focused.
- Clear criminal record and no pending cases.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Willingness to travel.
