Sanlam Vacancies – National Support Manager : Agency

Sanlam is seeking a National Support Manager : Agency to lead and support the implementation of strategic projects and initiatives across our Agency Distribution Channel. This role is vital in driving sales growth, improving operational excellence, and building strong relationships across our provinces and with distribution channel partners.

What Will You Do?

As the National Support Manager : Agency, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Channel and Provinces in the execution of strategic initiatives to drive sales and business growth.
  • Contributing to the development of the Annual Channel and Provincial distribution strategy.
  • Implementing and managing the Agency Distribution strategy and maintaining accountability for its success.
  • Demonstrating inspirational leadership to Provincial Executives and Branch Managers.
  • Representing the agency distribution channel at events and recognition activities, acting as an ambassador for the brand.
  • Ensuring seamless collaboration between provinces and channels to optimize market share and sales growth.
  • Promoting operational excellence within the Agency Channel, focusing on high performance and efficiency.
  • Driving transformation and fostering talent development where necessary.

Experience and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • A Business, Legal, or Commercial Degree, or MBA.
  • CFP certification is an advantage.
  • Key Individual (KI) qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in management and leadership roles, preferably within a financial services environment.
  • At least 2 years of sales and distribution exposure.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing strategic initiatives and business growth.

  • Deep institutional knowledge of Sanlam Sky processes and procedures, with a strong understanding of the needs of financial advisors in the Retail Mass environment.
  • Strategic leadership capabilities to influence and guide the Provincial Executives and Branch Managers.
  • Expertise in managing provincial expense budgets, profitability, and compliance with risk management guidelines.
  • Ability to drive change and foster innovation in business practices.
  • Strong people management skills with a focus on developing talent and building high-performing teams.
