Food Lovers Market is seeking a Market Liquors General Assistant to join our team! In this role, you’ll be crucial in ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with product location, answering inquiries, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. Your friendly and helpful attitude is key to delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive store image.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide accurate product information, assist customers in making selections, and demonstrate product usage.
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Greet customers warmly, offer assistance, and address questions with a positive attitude.
  • Inform customers about sales and special offers to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Handle cash and card transactions, issue receipts, and process refunds and exchanges accurately.
  • Receive and organize deliveries, manage stock, and keep shelves well-stocked and tidy.
  • Quickly restock items that are running low and ensure product availability.
  • Dispose of store and storeroom waste properly and maintain cleanliness in designated areas.
  • Assist with stock takes and follow safety, security, and environmental guidelines.
  • Clean designated areas such as the storeroom and kitchen as required.

Preferences

  • Experience in a customer-facing role and with stock takes is preferred.
  • Experience using cash registers or POS systems is advantageous.
