Job Description
Overview:
As a Manufacturing Analyst: R&P, you will drive continuous improvement within the unit to enhance operating efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve sustainability. You will oversee production batch and stock management processes while supporting process engineers and production staff. A key focus will be on tracking financial benefits from continuous improvement and value-added projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis and root-cause analysis to identify and resolve issues, optimizing production processes to reduce losses, improve capacity, throughput, and conversion costs.
- Conduct mass balance calculations and monitor waste factors, comparing actuals against benchmark standards.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for material issues and returns.
- Track financial benefits of improvement projects and report on their outcomes.
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, Technology, and Quality teams to support the design and implementation of systems for new products and process enhancements, emphasizing financial benefits.
- Open and close production jobs and batches promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and report daily on actual production volumes and variances versus plan, escalating significant deviations to the Cost Accountant and site management.
- Train production staff on basic system transactions to uphold internal controls and standard practices.
- Assist the Cost Accountant with variance analysis, compliance, and preparation for audits and self-assessments.
- Participate in stock takes and assist in ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Requirements:
- 3-year degree/diploma in costing, administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry (exceptions may be considered).
- Oracle experience is preferred.
