Mission:
As the Manager – Segregation of Duties Identity, your mission is to drive the development and enhancement of MTN’s Identity and Access Governance (IAG) framework. Your role will focus on mitigating information security risks and minimizing potential financial, operational, and reputational impacts by aligning individuals, processes, and technology under a comprehensive strategy for Segregation of Duties (SoD).
Key Responsibilities
1. Policy & Standards Alignment
- Develop and maintain SoD/IAG policies aligned with industry standards, regulations, and frameworks.
- Regularly review and update policies to address emerging risks and business needs.
2. Segregation of Duties Management
- Implement SoD application standards to ensure robust access controls.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation measures.
- Facilitate SoD compliance self-assessments across departments and business units.
3. Technology Implementation & Management
- Support the evaluation and integration of SoD/IAG technologies.
- Ensure proper configuration and monitoring of identity management tools.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to manage system lifecycles, updates, and enhancements.
4. Communication & Training
- Promote awareness of SoD/IAG policies through effective communication strategies.
- Conduct training sessions to educate employees on best practices and compliance requirements.
5. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to internal governance policies and external regulations.
- Address audit findings and implement corrective measures in collaboration with operational entities (OPCOs).
6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of SoD/IAG initiatives.
- Analyze performance data and generate actionable insights and reports.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure project success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Financial Management
- Assist in budget planning and expense tracking for SoD/IAG initiatives.
9. Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Monitor adherence to SLAs related to SoD/IAG services.
Qualifications
Education:
- 4-year tertiary degree/diploma in Business Analytics, IT, or related fields (Honours is advantageous).
- Proficiency in English; French is an advantage.
Experience:
- 2–3 years in a management role within the telecom industry.
- 5+ years of experience in information security, identity and access governance, and SoD management.
- Proven track record in implementing large-scale IAG projects.
- Familiarity with Africa’s socio-political and infrastructure landscape.

- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications:
- Preferred: ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PMP, ITIL, or similar industry-recognized credentials.
