Mission/ Core Purpose of the Role:
As a Manager – Sales, you will be responsible for driving the company’s Mobile and ICT value propositions, leading account managers in building new opportunities, expanding customer relationships, and executing sales strategies. Your primary objective will be to maximize business opportunities within the customer environment, focusing on delivering exceptional client experiences and achieving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Growth and Strategy Execution:
- Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics that capitalize on customer opportunities.
- Lead the sales team to meet monthly recurring revenue, share of wallet, and annual revenue targets.
- Expand product offerings and increase value-added services for customers.
- Focus on customer acquisition, retention, and reducing churn by offering tailored solutions.
- Take ownership of sales planning, accurate forecasting, and hitting sales targets.
Customer Experience Management:
- Ensure exceptional client experiences by maintaining open communication and resolving any issues.
- Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys and address feedback promptly.
- Collaborate with internal departments to deliver an integrated and seamless customer experience.
Operational Excellence:
- Align all sales activities with the business unit’s objectives and ensure process efficiency.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Provide valuable insights into sales and operations performance to optimize workflow and improve service delivery.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of account managers, engineers, and pre-sales staff to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and proactive problem-solving.
- Drive employee excellence through effective performance management, coaching, and development initiatives.
Business Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct business analysis to fine-tune processes and systems to align with evolving work practices.
- Identify and implement opportunities for business improvement and operational optimization.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on key sales metrics and operational performance.
Project and Risk Management:
- Lead the execution of key projects, ensuring they are tracked, monitored, and compliant.
- Manage risks associated with customer operations and ensure all sales activities adhere to company policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: 3-year Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a sales leadership role, preferably in telecommunications.
- Proven track record in managing and leading sales teams in medium to large organizations.
- Strong experience in closing large strategic deals and delivering on sales targets.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and lead complex sales cycles.
