Sasol careers – Maintenance Operator Gr 2 Electrical

Purpose of the Role:
As a Maintenance Operator Gr 2 Electrical, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, operating electrical devices, and collecting field data to ensure optimal productivity and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply and uphold safety standards in all working environments.
  • Participate in root cause analyses (RCA) and provide feedback to RCA teams to improve equipment reliability and operational safety.
  • Perform work according to the established maintenance plan and attend daily meetings to discuss work assignments.
  • Identify and troubleshoot faults using appropriate methods to ensure the availability and functionality of electrical equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and adhere to waste disposal procedures.
  • Provide regular feedback to supervisors and customers on the progress of work.
  • Conduct plant inspections and repairs as required to ensure the reliability of electrical systems.
  • Ensure accurate feedback is captured in systems to improve future maintenance planning, renewals, upgrades, and spare replacements.
  • Attend and actively participate in toolbox talks, PDA meetings, and safety discussions to enhance plant safety and stability.
  • Continuously seek improvement opportunities within your work area to support operational goals.
  • Complete relevant training as per your Personal Development Plan (PDP) to enhance your skills and competencies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric/N3 with Maths, English, and Physical Science.
  • NQF Level 2 in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or operations.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s License is required.
