Overview:
As the Maintenance Coordinator: Beverages, you will oversee the execution of all maintenance tasks and ensure the general upkeep of your area. Your role includes planning and implementing maintenance activities to minimize breakdowns, managing machinery protocols, and handling daily non-mechanical upkeep. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to health and safety procedures, manage maintenance supplies, and oversee asset care KPIs, including the utilities budget.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will:
- Perform tasks related to daily upkeep.
- Review, evaluate, and prioritize maintenance requests.
- Coordinate rapid response teams for equipment repairs.
- Conduct regular site inspections, addressing complaints and identifying needs.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is conducted for all equipment.
- Manage and report on the monthly utilities budget.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs for all machinery.
- Support the development and implementation of maintenance plans.
- Enforce company Quality Control Standards.
- Extract reports and implement actions accordingly.
- Monitor and manage maintenance supply inventory.
- Execute utilities shutdowns.
- Oversee site equipment and maintenance (including lifting equipment).
- Manage a team of artisans, shift artisans (dotted line), and site contractors.
Performance Metrics:
Your success will be measured by:
- Minimizing unforeseen breakdowns during production.
- Improving equipment reliability.
- Controlling maintenance costs.
- Ensuring the quality and timeliness of maintenance execution.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Key Professional Competencies:
- Proficiency with basic hand tools for repairs.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAP or Oracle systems.
Key Foundational Competencies:
- Academic: Analytical skills, commercial acumen, and problem-solving abilities.
- BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Leadership: Ability to manage change, develop yourself and your team, and maintain foresight.
- Personal Effectiveness: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, integrity, creativity, and continuous learning.
Experience:
- Function: Minimum of 3 years of practical experience and a relevant degree or technical certification.
- Industry: Experience in the FMCG industry, with strong knowledge of steam plants, LP & HP compressed air, generators, AVS, water treatment, and wastewater treatment (WWT).
- Competency: Understanding of OHSA regulations and actively working towards GCC certification.
