SAB Vacancies – Logistics PPM Manager
SAB is looking for a Logistics PPM (Price and Performance Management) Manager to optimize logistics costs in the Business Unit South (BU South). This role involves coordinating Financial Planning and Performance activities, managing annual budgets, and providing monthly forecasts. The Logistics PPM Manager will drive cost efficiency, analyze performance, and provide insights to support business decision-making.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Performance
- Lead the planning process for BU South Logistics, including 3YP (Three-Year Plan), annual budgets, and monthly actuals reporting.
- Monitor and coordinate the implementation of the annual plan with PPM, BBP (Business Planning & Budgeting), and NoCC (Network Operations Control Center).
- Partner with Zone Procurement and GPO (Global Procurement Organization) to estimate price escalations and identify procurement initiatives.
- Budget and Cost Management
- Prepare management review presentations, ensuring compliance with Zone guidelines and timelines.
- Provide accurate facts and figures for budget calculations, ensuring proper budget uploads in relevant tools (e.g., Cognos, SCFD, ZBB, TM1, SAP).
- Analyze monthly actuals, identify variance drivers, and work with operations to develop corrective action plans.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Coordinate the actuals reporting process with Zone Logistics PPM, BBP, and NoCC, ensuring compliance with control guidelines.
- Prepare monthly deep dive analyses, presenting insights to the BU South Logistics Director.
- Create monthly Full Year Forecast (LE) outlooks for BU South Logistics, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with BBP/PPM Commercial to identify cost impacts on commercial initiatives.
- Work with BBP to understand any “plugs” in the LE and ensure plans are in place to address them.
- Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders and external teams, maintaining alignment across the organization.
Profile Requirements
- Relevant 3-year university degree in accounting, business, economics, engineering, or similar.
- MBA, CIMA, or CA (SA) would be advantageous.
- At least 3 years of experience in finance within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in product costing, financial reporting, and general accounting practices.
- Strong project management, problem-solving skills, and ERP system knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and consolidation/reporting tools (Cognos, TM1, BI).
- Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP R/3 (FI/CO), SAP BW.
