Flysafair careers –  Line Warehouse Controller

About the Role

FlySafair is seeking a dedicated Line Warehouse Controller to join our team at the Durban base. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor (Operations), you will be responsible for managing spares movements, maintaining stock accuracy, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee spares movements between bases and stations.

  • Maintain accurate stock records by updating the ERP system promptly.

  • Ensure correct sorting and storage of parts upon receipt.

  • Conduct weekly cycle counts and random stock audits.

  • Prepare shipping documentation (COMAT) and package items per regulations.

  • Manage tools, equipment, and shelf-life items for consumables and rotables.

  • Process requisitions and update the ERP system for visibility.

  • Maintain warehouse housekeeping and security standards.

  • Route unserviceable spares to JHB to optimize turnaround times.

  • Respond to spare part requests via requisition system, email, or calls.

  • Assist in loading and offloading spares on aircraft.

  • Follow up on quarantine spares and general warehouse queries.

Job Requirements

  • Qualification: Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential).

  • Experience: 2-3 years in warehouse operations (Essential).

  • Skills & Knowledge:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    • Strong understanding of stock management and FIFO principles.

    • Familiarity with tools and aircraft operations.

    • Knowledge of OHS regulations, Dangerous Goods, and AMO standards.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Forklift license (Advantageous).

    • Valid driver’s license (EB) and ability to drive with a trailer (Long).

    • Willingness to travel and valid passport.

    • Own transport.
