Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our branch operations in Centurion. This leadership role involves overseeing sales, marketing, operations, technical, and administrative functions, ensuring the branch’s continued growth, operational excellence, and achievement of set objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving high operational standards, managing budgets, improving profitability, and reducing crime levels.

Reports to: Regional General Manager / General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Provide strong leadership to the branch and employees, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, fostering a team-oriented environment that drives performance.
  • Make timely, informed decisions that contribute to the long-term success of the branch.

Finance, Planning & Controls:

  • Submit detailed budget plans, sales forecasts, and business plans for the branch, ensuring targets are met.
  • Manage and monitor branch P&L to ensure profitability and consistent growth.
  • Oversee accurate financial forecasting and collections for the branch.

Sales:

  • Achieve branch sales targets and collaborate with the Regional Sales Managers on projections by geographic area.
  • Set sales and growth targets, providing guidance to Sales Consultants to achieve them.
  • Implement debtors control measures for new clients and installations.
  • Address and resolve client complaints in a professional manner.

Dealer and IIP’s:

  • Achieve budgeted Dealer and IIP sales targets per month.
  • Recruit and onboard new Dealers and IIPs to expand the branch footprint.
  • Incorporate Dealers and IIPs into the branch’s strategic plan and support them in achieving sales targets.

Operations:

  • Implement effective planning and production controls to enhance productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Lead efforts to reduce costs through process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture that prioritizes quality and satisfaction.
  • Ensure operational excellence across the branch by managing operational Area Managers.
  • Directly attend to client visits for contact crimes, maintaining a hands-on approach.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Enforce health and safety policies and ensure compliance with Company procedures, South African laws, and corporate guidelines.

Marketing:

  • Drive marketing activations and enhance customer perception through local efforts and customer feedback surveys.
  • Foster a strong social media presence, engaging with influencers and ensuring content relevance.
  • Oversee the implementation of effective communication and OTT strategies within the branch.

Commercial:

  • Regularly assess customer needs and feedback, ensuring close communication with the sales team.
  • Seek new market and product opportunities while providing creative solutions to customer demands.

People Management:

  • Identify and address staff training and development needs, providing coaching and support.
  • Handle HR-related issues, including recruitment and staff development, while ensuring effective team performance.

Business Development:

  • Identify and generate opportunities for Residential Guarding and bulk sales.
  • Drive community engagement through operational collaborations and business development.

Attrition Management:

  • Manage branch attrition by driving reconnections and minimizing bad debt exposure.
  • Analyze attrition data and implement corrective actions to improve retention and profitability.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Post-matric qualification in General Management (preferred).
  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Management (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience at a Mid-Management level, with a proven track record in managing teams and operations.
  • Strong financial knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and Profit & Loss management.
  • Grade B Security Certificate (to be obtained if not already held).
  • Experience in the security industry is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Extensive knowledge of operations, sales, technical, and administrative functions.
