SAB Vacancies – Inventory Loss Prevention Lead
SAB is seeking an Inventory Loss Prevention Lead to manage and optimize all inventory processes to minimize supply chain losses and impairment. This role involves overseeing stock count execution to ensure compliance with inventory governance processes and controls. The Inventory Loss Prevention Lead will be responsible for tracking and monitoring all inventory movements, including Finished Goods, Empties, and Raw Materials, across all sites in the Africa Zone.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Inventory Management and Compliance
- Manage centralized inventory tracking and monitoring, identifying performance gaps, and implementing actions to close them.
- Oversee stock count execution to ensure compliance with inventory governance processes and controls.
- Validate inventory process compliance and monitor risk sites for potential issues.
- Risk Assessment and Audit
- Conduct controlled self-assessment (CSA) audits to preemptively identify risks, working closely with brewery and depot finance teams.
- Develop CSA audit schedules for risk sites and support audits across the Zone as needed.
- Ensure all inventory processes are aligned with finance and control requirements in the Zone.
- Team Management and Leadership
- Manage team performance, productivity, and engagement, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), governance policies, and controls.
- Drive performance and engage stakeholders to improve inventory control.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement and Reporting
- Actively drive automation of inventory reporting within the team.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Inventory KPIs to drive performance.
- Engage cross-functionally with other teams to deliver inputs to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Provide inputs for Zone LE monthly and interrogate the accuracy of data from in-country teams for reporting purposes.
Profile Requirements
- Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Econometrics, Finance, Commerce in Supply Chain, or Accounting Science). An MBA is recommended.
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management with a strong finance background.
- Strong knowledge of finished goods and raw materials management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact at senior levels and across global teams.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Excellent presentation and written communication abilities.
- Ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively.
