Santam’s Operations, Commercial Contact Centre, is hiring Insurance Consultants based in Cape Town, Bellville. This role focuses on providing end-to-end service and support to intermediaries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive net profit and growth targets for the business.
- Deliver exceptional service, exceeding client expectations with proactive, innovative solutions.
- Provide telephonic and email support to intermediaries, brokerage representatives, and broker services.
- Analyse intermediary requests and prepare quotations to secure business conversions.
- Initiate outbound calls to intermediaries to discuss quotes and convert policies.
- Issue new business policies.
- Resolve insurance queries within required timeframes and compliance standards.
- Manage client expectations on turnaround times.
- Adhere to underwriting criteria and regional requirements.
- Profile clients to match them with the most suitable products and underwriting criteria.
- Assist in implementing process improvements.
- Follow workforce management principles to optimize productivity.
- Prioritize workflow and maintain high standards of productivity, quality, and deadlines.
- Step in for absent team members during peak periods to ensure business targets are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- 60 FAIS credits in Commercial Lines.
- Minimum 3 years of Short-Term Insurance experience (Commercial Lines).
- Proven experience in commercial underwriting within short-term insurance.
- Relevant insurance qualification (e.g., NQF Level 4) is advantageous.
- Agricultural insurance experience is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Adherence to quality, compliance, and accreditation standards.
- Efficient administrative and process optimization abilities.
