THE OPPORTUNITY
Join our team as an Industrial Engineer and play a pivotal role in supporting supply chain projects at PEP. This dynamic, fast-paced position will contribute significantly to our supply chain success and offers a unique chance to work on a variety of aspects, including Shipping, DCs, Transport, and Stores.
This position will be based at our DC in Hammarsdale, KZN.
THE ROLE
As an Industrial Engineer, you will engage with diverse supply chain elements to diagnose issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements. This role emphasizes operations, systems, and facility infrastructure. You’ll gain hands-on experience and grow your knowledge while collaborating with a supportive team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop business cases and lead supply chain projects
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Map and develop supply chain processes
- Provide systems support and training
- Develop business processes for optimal system integration
- Liaise with various departments to offer supply chain support
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
- 5 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a warehouse environment
- Project Management experience
- Retail knowledge and exposure is advantageous
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel or Google Sheets
- Willingness to travel
