About the Role
The Inbound Supervisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing inbound operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards. This role requires strong leadership skills to oversee a team, optimize resources, and maintain high customer service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inbound operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments
- Manage workforce scheduling, workload planning, and volume forecasting
- Monitor and improve operational efficiency while reducing costs
- Maintain quality control and compliance with company policies and procedures
- Conduct safety training and promote a strong safety culture
- Oversee stock counts, including planning, preparation, and physical inventory checks
- Ensure accurate inspection of incoming goods against purchase orders
- Work closely with logistics and transportation teams to schedule deliveries
- Drive team culture, provide leadership, and support employee development
- Prepare and present reports on inbound activities, inventory levels, and performance metrics
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics or Business – Desirable
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role and environment
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English (an additional language is a plus)
