Fidelity Vacancies – Hybrid Technician-Security-Bloemfontein

Fidelity is looking for a skilled and experienced Hybrid Technician – Security based in Bloemfontein to handle installations, servicing, and maintenance of alarm systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for on-site programming, testing, and basic fault-finding, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric certificate.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as an alarm technician.
  • Proven experience in programming, wiring, installations, and fault-finding.
  • Valid driver’s license is essential.
  • PSIRA registration (Grade C) is required.
  • Knowledge of Listener is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of DSC, FBI, CADDX, IDS, Paradox, and Texecom systems.
  • Basic knowledge of CCTV, intercom systems, and access control is beneficial.
  • Availability for standby duties as per the duty schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct service calls, maintenance, and repairs of alarm systems.
  • Program and test alarm panels to ensure proper functionality.
  • Complete handovers and provide clients with system training.
  • Prepare and submit invoices and job cards after each service call.
  • Perform system reprogramming during takeovers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle client queries professionally.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, ensuring a neat uniform at all times.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before leaving the office.
  • Report any faults to the Senior Supervisor for installations.
  • Complete daily drive sheets and maintain accurate job reports.
  • Offer upgrade recommendations and quotations to clients.
  • Conduct regular stock control checks and vehicle maintenance.
