Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HTS Coordinator to oversee the implementation of facility and community-based HIV Testing Services (HTS), case finding, case management, and retention support activities. This role is pivotal to the success of the Western Cape APACE program and requires strong leadership, operational coordination, and data management expertise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of case finding, management, and retention strategies in line with the 90-90-90 framework.
- Oversee HIV prevention initiatives, including DREAMS, MINA, PREP, ICT, risk screening tools, and HIV self-screening.
- Supervise Anova Counsellors and HTS Testers, ensuring adherence to DoH standards.
- Manage HTS/CLI quality improvement activities and ensure compliance with DoH policies.
- Identify training needs, coordinate training sessions, and facilitate capacity building for teams.
- Oversee data collection, management, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain project asset registers and inventory logs.
- Collaborate with the M&E department to ensure accurate project reporting.
- Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including DoH and other partners.
- Facilitate team participation in decision-making processes and foster a collaborative work environment.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Degree in Health or Social Sciences.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project or operations management.
- At least 5 years’ experience in HIV or public health programs.
- Proficiency in data management and quality assurance processes.
- NIMART certification (advantageous).
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in at least one local language.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Innovative thinker with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention and community health issues.
