Dischem Vacancies – Health Consultant

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a reputable Health Consultant specializing in vitamins and supplements for our Laguna Mall store in Langebaan. As a Health Consultant, you will be responsible for effectively promoting and selling Dis-Chem’s Health Focus products while providing excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Grade 12 / Matric
    • Minimum of 6 months’ sales experience in a vitamins/health environment
    • Strong command of the English language
    • Computer literacy (MS Office)
    • Sound numerical skills
    • Willing and able to work retail hours
  • Advantageous:
    • Qualification in BSc Biomedicine, BSc Biotechnology, or a relevant qualification in the health focus field
    • Sales experience in a retail environment
    • Experience in the health industry (vitamins, supplements, or health foods)
    • Fluent in a second language commonly spoken in the area

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers and provide expert advice on Dis-Chem’s Health Focus products, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Keep merchandise displays in the health focus area stocked, faced up, and attractive.
  • Report price discrepancies to management as they arise.
  • Adhere to store layouts within the Health Department and implement promotional displays.
  • Ensure broadsheet items are well displayed, merchandised, promoted, and available.
  • Achieve monthly team, brand, and vendor targets.
  • Stay updated on new products and product lines in the health focus area.
  • Follow the Health Department’s administrative processes and procedures, including stock control and weekly returns.

    • Ability to analyze basic reports
    • Team player with excellent time management skills
    • Honest, trustworthy, and reliable
  • Advantageous:
    • Product knowledge and stock control experience
    • Bilingual proficiency

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Willingness to work retail hours
  • Physically fit for walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
  • South African citizenship with a clear credit and criminal record
