Job Overview:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a skilled and certified Hair Stylist to join our Cornubia branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide range of hair care services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments. The role also includes maintaining salon inventory and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert hair analysis to determine the best treatments and styles for clients.
• Perform haircuts, trims, shaves, and beard grooming using professional tools.
• Create elegant hairstyles for special occasions and formal events.
• Properly apply hair color, dye, and tint using appropriate techniques.
• Deliver scalp massages and other treatments with precision and care.
• Stay updated on the latest hair trends and continuously improve skills through training.
• Greet clients warmly, ensuring a welcoming salon atmosphere.
• Advise clients on hair care products and promote salon services and promotions.
• Manage salon appointments and maintain accurate client records.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and report stock levels and issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) or Senior Certificate.
• Certificate or Diploma in Hairdressing.
• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist.
• Strong knowledge of hair care products, chemical processes, and their safe application.
• Basic mathematics skills.

Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and time management abilities.
• Technical proficiency in using salon tools and operating a cash register.
• Basic numerical skills.

Special Conditions of Employment:

• Must be a South African citizen or hold a valid work permit.
• Clear criminal and credit record (MIE).
• Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transport.
