Job Description:
Anova Health Institute, an NGO committed to enhancing health and quality of life, is seeking a dedicated Grants Manager. This role is crucial in coordinating the grant management process, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and providing support to project managers and subrecipients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Grants Management:
- Serve as the liaison between Project Managers, Funders, and internal support departments.
- Ensure timely submission of all donor reports.
- Manage pre-award assessments and amendments for subrecipients.
- Oversee subrecipient spending and reporting.
- Facilitate ad hoc requests from funders.
Compliance:
- Guide subrecipients on funding agency regulations and requirements.
- Monitor and coordinate grant administration to ensure adherence to budgeting and administrative policies.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Department to address critical internal reviews.
- Implement changes to address non-compliance issues and stay updated on funding agency policies.
- Attend relevant training sessions as needed.
Programme Management Support:
- Assist project managers with developing annual budgets and work plans.
- Review and analyze monthly project expense reports against budgets to enhance project deliverables.
- Support the preparation of periodic reports and assist with new proposals and budgets.
Capacity Development:
- Ensure projects are adequately staffed and identify training needs.
- Provide internal capacity development in funder requirements, budgeting, and financial management.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in BCom, BCompt, Financial Management, or a relevant field.
- 4-8 years’ experience in a management role, preferably in Grants & Contracts.
- Knowledge of donor grants and the Non-Profit sector is desirable.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in project management and ERP systems.
