Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service? We are looking for a General Assistant to join our team and contribute to creating a pleasant shopping experience for our customers!
As a General Assistant, your role will be vital in assisting customers with their needs, ensuring a clean and organized store environment, and maintaining a positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing accurate product information, assisting customers with selections, and demonstrating product use.
- Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Greeting customers warmly, offering assistance, and maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Informing customers about sales and promotions to enhance their shopping experience.
- Processing cash and card payments, issuing receipts, and managing refunds and exchanges accurately.
- Receiving and organizing deliveries, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining store organization.
- Restocking shelves promptly and ensuring product availability.
- Disposing of waste responsibly and maintaining cleanliness in designated areas, including the storeroom and kitchen.
- Assisting with stocktakes and following all safety, security, and environmental procedures, especially in emergencies.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Previous experience as a General Assistant or General Worker
- Proficiency in English
- Residence within 15 km of the job location
- A clear criminal record
Preferences
While not mandatory, candidates from South Africa will be given preference.
