Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will ensure our customers enjoy a seamless shopping experience by assisting them with product inquiries, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, well-organized store environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate product information and assist customers in making their selections.
- Resolve customer queries and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude and offer assistance as needed.
- Inform customers about promotions and special offers to enhance their shopping experience.
- Handle cash and card payments, issue receipts, and process refunds or exchanges efficiently.
- Receive deliveries, organize stock, and ensure items are correctly shelved and always available.
- Restock shelves promptly when items run low.
- Dispose of store and storeroom waste properly and maintain cleanliness.
- Assist with regular stock takes to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to safety, security, and environmental protocols, including emergency procedures.
- Clean designated areas, such as the storeroom and kitchen, to maintain hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Previous experience as a General Worker or General Assistant.
- Proficient in English.
- Reside within 15km of the job location.
- Clear criminal record.
Preferences:
- South African candidates are preferred but not required.
