Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and contributing to a well-organized store? We are looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be key in creating a positive shopping experience by assisting customers, managing inventory, and ensuring the store environment is clean and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
As a General Assistant, your daily duties will include:
- Assisting customers by providing accurate product information and helping them make purchasing decisions.
- Greeting customers warmly, offering assistance, and answering inquiries with a positive attitude.
- Informing customers about promotions and special offers to enhance their shopping experience.
- Processing cash and card payments, issuing receipts, and handling refunds or exchanges efficiently.
- Receiving deliveries, organizing stock, and ensuring products are displayed neatly on shelves.
- Quickly restocking items that are running low to ensure product availability.
- Properly disposing of store and storeroom waste in the appropriate bins.
- Supporting with stock takes and inventory management.
- Adhering to all safety, security, and environmental policies, including emergency procedures.
- Maintaining cleanliness in designated areas such as the storeroom, kitchen, and shop floor.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Matric certificate.
- The ability to work within 15km of the store.
- A clear criminal record.
