Rand Water Vacancies – Gang Overseer

Job Overview:
Rand Water is seeking a Gang Overseer to manage and supervise the daily duties of Driver Aids and Steam Cleaners, ensuring smooth operations at the wash bay and handling the distribution of lifting and tie-down equipment in the store. This role involves overseeing vehicle cleaning processes and ensuring compliance with Transport Department procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Driver Aids and allocate them to support Drivers/Operators as needed.
• Manage the cleaning of vehicles and plant equipment at the wash bay.
• Keep daily records of all vehicles and equipment washed at the wash bay, including service and customer vehicles.
• Ensure staff adhere to Transport Department procedures and work instructions.
• Manage the movement of cleaned vehicles on and off the wash bay.
• Oversee the distribution and return of lifting equipment in the store.
• Perform any other general tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Code B Driver’s License.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related role.
• Proven supervisory skills and the ability to manage a team.
• Working knowledge of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) practices.
