Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to efficiently handle the loading and unloading of products. The role involves ensuring safety and precision when operating the forklift. This position reports to the Receiving Supervisor and requires flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, Sundays, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Forklift Operator, your main duties will include:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift.
  • Moving and organizing stock within the warehouse.
  • Completing daily forklift checklists before operating the equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring optimal space utilization.
  • Reporting any mechanical issues or faults with the forklift.
  • Collaborating effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Complying with all health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude even during repetitive tasks, contributing to a motivated work environment.
  • Applying knowledge of product handling, especially for perishable goods, to enhance stock management efficiency.
  • Managing tasks with focus and precision, particularly during high-pressure periods.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Matric certificate.
  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
  • A valid forklift license.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including Sundays and public holidays.
  • A clean criminal record.
  • Living within 15km of the job location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • South African candidates preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Forklift Operator in an FMCG environment.
