About the Program
This role is suited to a detail-oriented Flight Follower who plays a critical part in real-time flight monitoring and operational coordination within a fast-paced aviation environment.
Job Description
▪ Track and monitor all flights in real time to ensure safe and efficient operations.
▪ Monitor weather conditions along planned routes and at destination airports.
▪ Provide pilots with timely updates and guidance on potential weather-related risks.
▪ Notify relevant stakeholders of diversions, delays, or irregular routings.
▪ Maintain inflight communication with Flight Deck crew when required.
▪ Manage and coordinate driver schedules in line with operational needs.
▪ Support the Flight Operations office with administrative and operational tasks as required.
▪ Communicate accurate estimated times of arrival to relevant parties.
▪ Capture and update flight movements on operational systems.
▪ Assist with the coordination of emergency responses and provide support to pilots and passengers when required.
Job Requirements
▪ Grade 12 or equivalent.
▪ Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience.
▪ Aviation experience will be advantageous.
▪ Willing and able to work shifts.
▪ Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
▪ Own reliable transport.
▪ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
▪ Fluent in English.
▪ Strong attention to detail.
▪ Ability to perform under pressure in time-critical situations.
▪ Effective time management skills.
▪ Ability to identify irregularities in planned aircraft movements.
