Job Summary:
Sea Harvest is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fish Shop Supervisor to join our team. The Fish Shop Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the shop, ensuring proper handling and storage of products, managing inventory, and supervising staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for seafood, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor the team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Ensure all products are handled, stored, and displayed in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Manage inventory levels, place orders for new products as needed, and monitor product quality.
• Set and achieve sales targets, developing strategies to enhance revenue and profitability.
• Address customer feedback and resolve issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Train new staff on proper fish handling techniques and customer service standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop, including storage areas and display cases.

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Proven experience in a fish shop or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of seafood types and proper handling techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Food safety certification is advantageous
