Sasol careers – Fire Fighter Training
Purpose of the Role
As a Fire Fighter Training professional, you will be responsible for identifying training needs, developing training materials, and facilitating learning interventions. Your work will ensure employees meet legal and industry standards, aligning with accreditation authorities such as IFSAC and QCTO. Through your expertise, you will enhance workforce skills, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) best practices in all training activities.
- Identify learning interventions and desired outcomes.
- Deliver training using diverse methodologies and techniques.
- Facilitate both formal and on-the-job learning experiences.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training through measurable job performance improvements.
- Revise and update training materials as needed.
- Participate in Key Performance Area (KPA) and Personal Development Plan (PDP) discussions.
- Monitor and ensure achievement of performance objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive safety and operational improvements.
- Contribute to safety enhancements and housekeeping activities.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Education: Grade 12 with Mathematical Literacy or higher qualification.
- Mandatory Certifications:
- Fire Fighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001)
- Level 3 First Aid
- Hazmat Awareness (NFPA 1072/472)
- Hazmat Operations (NFPA 1072/472)
- Physical Requirements: Must be medically fit according to Fire Fighter fitness assessment standards.
Experience
- 0–5+ years of relevant experience in firefighting or training-related roles.
