Job Overview
Sea Harvest Vacancies is seeking a skilled professional for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to support the Group FP&A Manager with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis. The role focuses on providing accurate financial information, driving process automation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting
- Prepare periodic group forecasts and evaluate results for reasonableness.
- Analyze and provide explanations for major variances.
- Maintain and improve forecasting models to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Annual Budget
- Prepare the annual budget within established timelines and guidelines.
- Generate budget reports and conduct performance analysis.
- Assist with budget commentary and management presentations.
Reporting and Performance Analysis
- Prepare monthly, board, half-year, year-end, and ad hoc financial reports.
- Analyze group performance for the reporting period.
- Support management with commentary and presentation of results.
Decision Support and Advisory
- Respond to ad hoc queries and requests from management.
- Investigate issues, report findings, and provide support where required.
- Offer insights and recommendations to aid decision-making.
Process Improvement
- Drive automation initiatives to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization within the FP&A function.
Requirements and Qualifications
- BCom or relevant tertiary qualification; CIMA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar FP&A role.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with QlikView, Adaptive Insights, and Power BI is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of key business processes and financial practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Methodical, meticulous, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Logical thinking with strong numeric ability and deadline-driven mindset.
