Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibilities

1. Driving Business Growth:

  • Execute marketing plans and achieve business targets set by the distribution strategy.
  • Utilize market segmentation and customer profiles to drive sales growth within the short-term market.
  • Focus on revenue generation, activity quotas, and promoting the Sanlam brand.
  • Apply the principle of treating customers fairly in all engagements.

2. Networking and Lead Generation:

  • Build business opportunities through face-to-face interactions, social and business networks, and presentations.
  • Strengthen existing relationships by enhancing service offerings and uncovering new opportunities within Sanlam’s ecosystem.
  • Leverage social media and other platforms to market services and generate leads.
  • Explore existing client bases to identify gaps and cross-selling opportunities.

3. Client Consultations and Sales:

  • Conduct detailed fact-finding and financial needs analyses to understand client priorities.
  • Present professional financial solutions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Use Sanlam’s e-tools and systems to provide comprehensive advice and ensure compliance.
  • Establish balanced financial portfolios and provide ongoing reviews to ensure clients’ needs are met.

4. Exceptional Client Service:

  • Deliver ethical, courteous, and professional interactions at all times.
  • Resolve client queries promptly and strive to deliver value-added service to retain loyalty.
  • Develop long-term relationships focused on trust and support.

5. Reporting and Monitoring:

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, consultations, and issued business.
  • Track revenue against targets and ensure workflows are updated.
  • Regularly review and update client portfolios to reflect changing needs and market conditions.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Compliance with FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements and successful completion of the Regulatory Examination (if registered with FSCA for over 24 months).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expertise in financial advice and planning, risk management, and client relationship management.
  • Ability to achieve production targets and comply with industry regulations.
