Pep Vacancies – Finance Systems Analyst – Cape Town

Purpose of the Position:
As a Finance Systems Analyst at PEP, your primary responsibility is to ensure that finance systems and business processes align with industry standards and best practices. You will provide technology and process support to users, driving scalable, robust solutions across the financial space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Improvement & Project Delivery:
    • Focus on initiatives that enhance the stability and scalability of financial systems.
    • Translate Business Requirements (BRD) into Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), collaborating with business owners to clarify and finalize the requirements.
    • Facilitate communication between the business and third-party providers, ensuring accurate understanding and execution of business needs.
  • System Support:
    • Provide technical and non-technical support for system-related queries and issues.
    • Gather and document business requirements from users and support system improvement initiatives.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing:
    • Conduct training sessions to ensure knowledge transfer within the team and across the business.
    • Manage ad-hoc tasks and respond to business system queries efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Systems.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in a similar role, with experience in business systems analysis and financial management.
    • Solid understanding of test-driven development and financial solutions improvement (e.g., integration, reconciliation, scalability, accuracy).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong experience with SQL, JIRA, SAP, ReconArt, and Google Cloud Platform.
    • Exposure to agile or waterfall methodologies for taking BRD to FRD level.
    • Hands-on experience with software development, system configuration, and documentation (back-end or front-end).
    • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, or Google Suite.
  • Competencies:
    • Excellent project management, presentation, and facilitation skills.
    • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, non-technical terms.
    • Strong finance knowledge with the ability to handle multiple processes across various systems.
    • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to develop and communicate ideas effectively.
    • Ability to respond with a supportive, friendly, and approachable attitude.
