Sasol careers – Explosive Operator Gr 1 x3 – Delay Manufacturing D3

Purpose of the Job
The Explosive Operator Gr 1 will manage materials, maintain stock control, verify finished products, and ensure compliance with SHERQ standards. This role is vital to supporting seamless production operations and upholding safety and quality in our Delay Manufacturing D3 division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Materials Management: Perform backflushing, order and transfer materials on SAP, and manage stock control.
  • Inspection and Verification:
    • Conduct stock counts for raw materials.
    • Perform visual inspections using measurement tools.
    • Verify product compliance and troubleshoot non-conforming products.
  • Production Support:
    • Complete production documentation.
    • Move cut elements to heated storage areas.
    • Participate in Epex implementation and attend task force meetings.
  • Housekeeping: Ensure adherence to 5S standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold all SHERQ procedures in daily operations.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail, diligence, and integrity.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Competence in problem-solving and process optimization.

Formal Education and Experience

  • Education: Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in explosives manufacturing.
