Mission
The Engineer will ensure efficient and high-quality fulfillment of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) services by managing assurance activities across the service delivery lifecycle. This role is responsible for validating Fibre Access Terminal (FAT) readiness, ensuring accurate service order processing, coordinating vendor activities, and resolving activation-related issues. The Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining service integrity, minimizing delays, and ensuring installations meet technical, operational, and customer experience standards.
Additionally, the role focuses on identifying service gaps, recommending process improvements, and supporting compliance with internal policies and industry best practices. Through proactive monitoring and cross-functional collaboration, the Engineer contributes to enhanced network reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee FAT (Fibre Access Terminal) validation and extensions, ensuring accurate mapping, tagging, and linkage to service orders in line with network planning and service delivery standards.
- Support FAT expansion initiatives by coordinating with planning and rollout teams to meet increasing customer demand and capacity requirements.
- Monitor and validate service orders to ensure compliance with technical specifications, customer requirements, and agreed SLA timelines.
- Collaborate with Network Operations, Sales, Customer Management, and Service Fulfillment teams to ensure timely service activation and resolution of delivery bottlenecks.
- Escalate service delays, technical faults, or vendor non-compliance issues to appropriate stakeholders and ensure prompt resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of fulfillment processes, including FAT records, installation workflows, and exception logs.
- Conduct root cause analysis of failed or delayed activations and recommend corrective actions to enhance service reliability and reduce repeat incidents.
- Work closely with Home Pass and Infrastructure Planning teams to align FAT capacity and fiber infrastructure expansion with rollout and acquisition targets.
- Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and quality assurance checks related to FTTH service delivery and infrastructure integrity.
- Identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including development of SOPs, technical standards, and onboarding materials.
- Provide technical insights during operational reviews to ensure alignment with KPIs and strategic objectives.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Certification in FTTH GPON, CFOT, or relevant quality management certification is required.
- Fluent in English.
Experience and Competencies
- Strong understanding of FTTH architecture, fiber optics infrastructure, and service assurance processes.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage vendor performance.
- Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience in root cause analysis.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and process improvement capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service quality standards.
