Rand Water Vacancies – Employment Equity Coordinator

Job Advert Summary: Rand Water is seeking an Employment Equity Coordinator to support the Employment Equity Unit in fostering a corporate environment that reflects the diverse community we serve. The role involves building a staff complement with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet organizational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualifications & Experience:
  • Relevant Human Resources Management qualification or equivalent (Matric and HR qualification essential; honors degree or equivalent preferred).
  • Knowledge of disability equity management is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources and/or Employment Equity.
  • Experience in women’s development and gender mainstreaming.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Primary Duties:

• Ensure compliance with Employment Equity, Diversity, and Transformation legislation.
• Assist in cultivating a non-racial and non-sexist culture within the organization.
• Submit statutory information to the Department of Labour.
• Monitor and ensure the achievement of corporate and site Employment Equity targets.
• Oversee the Disability Equity Implementation Plan and Corporate Disability Forum.
• Track the appointment of females and other designated groups in line with organizational KPIs.
