Job Advert Summary: Rand Water is seeking an Employment Equity Coordinator to support the Employment Equity Unit in fostering a corporate environment that reflects the diverse community we serve. The role involves building a staff complement with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet organizational needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant Human Resources Management qualification or equivalent (Matric and HR qualification essential; honors degree or equivalent preferred).
- Knowledge of disability equity management is advantageous.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources and/or Employment Equity.
- Experience in women’s development and gender mainstreaming.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Primary Duties:
- Ensure compliance with Employment Equity, Diversity, and Transformation legislation.
- Assist in cultivating a non-racial and non-sexist culture within the organization.
- Submit statutory information to the Department of Labour.
- Monitor and ensure the achievement of corporate and site Employment Equity targets.
- Oversee the Disability Equity Implementation Plan and Corporate Disability Forum.
- Track the appointment of females and other designated groups in line with organizational KPIs.
Knowledge:
- Employment Equity and HR-related legislation.
- HR policies.
- SAP HR.
- Project Management.
