Purpose of Job:
Provide expert Electrical engineering services for R&T projects, encompassing concept, basic, and detailed design phases. Responsible for delivering cost estimates, ensuring quality, and meeting cost and schedule commitments throughout the Front-End Loading (FEL) process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scope Development:
  Develop Electrical Scope of Work (SOW) for engineering and construction contractors.
• Design Oversight:
  Perform squad checks on Electrical design packages, including calculations, design basis, drawings, SOW, and documentation.
• Technical Support:
  Address construction technical queries and provide solutions that align with business unit goals and values.
• Project Planning:
  Plan and achieve project management objectives in technical, professional, and expert areas of work. Deliver expert solutions, including Electrical designs and drawings using E-plan.
• Standards Compliance:
  Apply policies, standards, procedures, and methods with discretion. Ensure adherence to Sasol specifications, site procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge Management:
  Extract, capture, and disseminate knowledge according to management standards. Review and report on processes and risk impacts related to a portfolio of tasks.
• Corrective Actions:
  Implement corrective actions as needed and participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process and associated risk reviews.
• Proposal Development:
  Develop suitable technical proposals based on practical and theoretical knowledge.
• Execution:
  Plan and execute work safely according to work instructions, quality requirements, deadlines, budget, and schedules with minimal supervision.
• Resource Management:
  Utilize resources efficiently and effectively to achieve objectives and deliver work on time, within scope, and budget.
• Task Management:
  Manage multiple tasks with different priorities and complex schedules. Communicate potential delays in meeting deadlines.
• Service Provider Management:
  Understand and manage supply chain and procurement procedures.

Formal Education:

• T4 or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• Extensive knowledge of R&T equipment and processes (preferred)

Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical engineering services.
